Fibromyalgia is a disorder associated with widespread muscular pain usually accompanied by fatique, mood swings, tension headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, or occasional memory loss. The disorder sometimes occurs following surgery, infection, physical trauma, or serious psychological stress. Symptoms can also gradually build over time without a specific initial cause. The disorder is also more commonly found in women.
